Silly Boys are soooo much Fun!

Image
I had the pleasure of taking pictures of these two brothers tonight. I took their pictures last year around this time, and although they have grown, they are still completely funny silly boys! We went to the park in White Bear around 6:30...it was a gorgeous night. Here is a little preview. Thanks Mr. A and Mr. J you two are just a joy! So Little boys come in all shapes and sizes, Shy and adventurous, full of surprises, With misshapen halos and mischievous grins, Small dirty faces and sweet, sticky chins. They'll keep you so busy and yet all the while Nothing can brighten the world like their smile. And no greater treasure has brought homes more joy Than a curious, active, and loveable boy. Unkown

Randomness and Photoshop

So it was Monday afternoon in downtown White Bear and there I was at the Cobblestone Cafe by myself eating my chef salad, no egg. I watched as people came and went by automobile, by bicycle, by foot. I thought about many things as I sat there. Why is it that somedays I pick lemonade over Cherry coke, when I like both equally? Why does a shirt look good one day and then other days it just doesn't look right? Why when I enter a restaraunt do I pick one seat over another (if I have a choice)? When I eat, how is it that my brain decides in what order to eat things on my plate? Why do some people eat their corn in rows and some in columns and some a mix? It just got me thinking about the process our brain goes through to make a decision without us being conscious of it. Of course there are times when we make decisions consciously. Hmm...so what would happen if I was in the mood for Lemonade and I drank Cherry coke, would it taste gross? These questions are really interesting to me. Okay

You're Kidding me right?

So Matt and I go to the movie theater and we see "Tropic Thunder"...you know that R rated movie with Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey and to my surprise Tom Cruise(bald with an extra 50 pounds and lots of chest hair...hahaha). Anyway, about half way through I hear this cry, not coming from the movie. Yep, someone brought their, I would say 2 year old to an R rated movie. Why? Why must people do that. For one it is a disturbance to those watching the movie but more importantly it exposes them to a ton of violence and bad language. I mean do the parents want to see the movie that bad and they just don't have a sitter??? We were quite disturbed by the whole thing! On a lighter note I went to Como Park yesterday to visit the Butterfly Exhibit...but thunderstorms were coming so they weren't letting anyone in, bummer. But the rain hadn't started yet, so I was able to take a few pictures around the park while I was there. I will have to go back to see the butterfli

Baby Boy has arrived!

Marianne and Dennis had their baby boy yesterday. Baby Jacob was born at 11:39 yesterday morning and he is just precious. He has a full head of brown hair and I think he really looks like Dennis. Another healthy baby born...what a blessing to the world! Here is a picture of Dennis and Marianne so you can see how much baby Jacob looks like daddy! He opened his eyes...I just wasn't sure that was going to happen during our visit, but I am so glad it did. He is just beautful! ...and proud papa uncovers him just for a moment so we can see his little legs mama was quite tired from not sleeping, oh and of course labor, but she was so joyful. I hope she was atleast able to get some sleep last night. Congratulations Dennis and Marianne!! What else is going on.... I got this beautiful painting from my mother-in-law to be (Peg). I just love it. I love the classic/old feel of it and the way that the women are gathering around. Reminds me of the support that we have for our wedding and more imp

Whole lotta Fun!

The end of the week was quite eventful and fun! On Thursday afternoon, I met my mom at the nursing home where my aunt Joyce is. Her room is up on the 2nd floor and they have a good size deck/patio off of it, so we sat out there for a little while. Then we noticed they were having a scrub sale in the parking lot...so we thought we'd do some shoppin'! My mom and I bought some new scrubs and Joyce just tagged along. Alzheimers is strange...sometimes I think she knows exactly who I am and sometimes I don't think she knows at all, but she seems content either way and that is a blessing. After visiting with Joyce I did some shopping at Target and then headed to my moms to relax on the deck. I sat for awhile just enjoying the breeze and peacefulness of the country. Then I got the itch to take some pictures (big surprise huh?) Have you ever noticed from certain angles Hydrangeas appear to be made from butterflies? I just loved how the sunlight was falling on this hydrangea. I he
